Motion & Graphics Designer Role at Kooni Connect

At Kooni Connect, we’re lucky that everyone within our walls thinks creatively – and shares a passion for building communities and understanding a world of micro-content. In that case, our designers serve a slightly different role than more traditional “digital creative types” and we’re seeking a talented designer to join our ranks

Who are you?

An ultimate team player who will create value in any situation. You understand creative problem solving and will be excited to create an engaging story no matter what channel it lives in.

You have a passion for design and a hunger to learn how to create pieces that drive engagement and extend brand experiences. However, you also understand that good ideas can come from anywhere and are open-minded when working with teammates. You are a flexible multi-tasker who communicates naturally, passionately, and collaboratively. You’ll be working exclusively within the digital realm (no print work) and the portfolio you submit should reflect this, but we also love seeing your overall solutions and ideas throughout your book.

The task at hand:

  • You’ll be asked to do a range of creative work from faster, “smaller” pieces to “bigger” builds for a range of clients, as well as Kooni-wide projects
  • You’ll work within a dynamic team structure with several creative leads, helping to support and deliver on our core community and brand specific campaigns
  • You’ll have a mastery of industry best practices and the platforms we love, as well as be willing to learn and articulate the unique Kooni essence on each
  • You’ll care about concepting, designing, developing, and putting the team in the best position to present our ideas way more than you do about getting credit for the work
  • You’re expected to be as much of a friendly teacher as a proficient doer when working within our Account team structure
  • You’ll have strong typography skills, a love and mastery of photoshop and feel very comfortable in all adobe creative suite programs

  • You master creating short-form content for digital platforms like FB, IG, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
  • You are resourceful, responsive and eager to get the job done – all with a smile on your face.
  • You are experienced in creating and editing 3D Motion video content for a variety of digital platforms and broadcast for a diverse range of clients.
  • You edit both live-action and animation projects.
  • You manage media assets and archive on all company projects
  • You contribute to opportunities to develop original content and concepts for web and mobile.
  • You mold daily short-form motion graphic assets for all digital social media channels. You create after effects templates to increase daily content output.
  • You collaborate with design, video & social/editorial teams to conceptualize and create storyboards, motion graphics & animations for current & emerging platforms.
  • You work with the creative team to evolve and develop aesthetic while maintaining consistency across all assets and channels.
  • You eat, live and breathe the current industry & design trends to keep client’s brands innovative and fresh for our audience across all publishing platforms.

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in 3D, video/film production
  • You’re an expert in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs (i.e. Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator)
  • You’re knowledgeable in AVID, AVID Symphony, Pro Tools
  • You’re proficient in sound design, mixing, and color correction
  • You have a strong understanding of post-production workflow
  • You’re adept at organizing projects, managing workload for multiple projects, and meeting deadlines
  • You’re comfortable with Google Apps suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc)
  • You have the ability to communicate needs in a positive and productive fashion
  • You execute high editing techniques.
  • You’re resourceful, diligent, creative in problem-solving with high attention to detail.
  • You’re able to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines with minimal direction at times.
  • You have adequate knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs, and their proper handling in a post workflow.
